Aldrock Celebrates 10 Years in Business

Pop open the champers, we’re turning 10 years old!

They say time flies when you’re having fun, and it turns out, whoever ‘they’ are, they’re absolutely right.

Since we opened our doors in 2008, we’ve delivered a whole host of projects throughout the North West and nationally. From high-end luxury conversions and extensions, to surveys and energy assessments.

Aldrock was borne as a result of the newly introduced EU Energy Performance of Buildings Directive. Founders, James Rossall and Guy Shorrock saw a fantastic opportunity to work for themselves, utilising their combined building surveying background. With this fusion of expertise, Aldrock could expand on the service offering, working on floor plans, surveys and Land Registry Compliant Plans. 

We count local, regional, and national businesses among our client base, including small, medium, and large-scale enterprise. In fact, we still work with our very first client, Taylor Weaver, to this day. We’ve worked with around 4,500 clients in total across a plethora of sectors spanning private residential, commercial, retail, local authority, the NHS and corporate businesses.

It’s safe to say that we know a thing or two about buildings. 

What our 10th birthday means for our customers

We love getting under the skin of each project we take on – nurturing them from the ideation and design stage to the preparation of tenders, project management right to the administering of the contract.

Quality and efficiency have been at the heart of what we do. And the commitment to this ethos has enabled us to grow: we’ve recently added to our team and opened our Manchester office, overlooking Salford Quays.

And although it’s important to remember how far we’ve come since we opened our doors a decade ago, we aren’t resting on our laurels yet.

We’re continuously developing our offering, and technology certainly facilitates this. For example, all of our projects are designed using REVIT software, which enables us to design efficient buildings that are both highly bespoke and provides excellent real life visualisation. It’s also great in terms of being able to collaborate with clients on projects in real time.

We’re also driven by empathy which gives us a deeper understanding of how overwhelming architectural projects can be, it can be a worrying time for our clients overall. Budgets and other technicalities can take the excitement away from any project – and that’s where we come in.

We’ve helped our clients with all aspects of planning permission, building regulations, and costings, taking care of all the stressful stuff so you don’t have to. And it is our commitment that we will continue to do so, today and beyond.
