You will have heard in the news that some Children will not be receiving free School meals and considering the current struggles as a result of this pandemic, it is quite ridiculous to think that Children will be going hungry.
The week, we made a phone call to Blackburn Food Bank, as we wanted to do our bit to help! We have learnt a lot about the local and National issues that food banks are facing, and how this may worsen without support and the wider impact of COVID19. Aldrock have made a donation, however we cannot help think that more can be done. The foodbank are really keen to partner with businesses in their local areas, and help you achieve your social and community responsibilities.
If you want to help make a difference, these Charities would welcome your support. If you would like to make a donation to the foodbank, whether it is Blackburn or another food bank in a different area, they all need support.
There is a link below to Blackburn food bank where you can make a monetary donation or a directory of food banks nationally.
If you prefer to donate food through contributions at your work place, you can donate this direct, or if it is more convenient, feel free to drop off any donation, small or large to the Aldrock offices, and we will deliver the food parcels on your behalf.
The current shortage they have is as follows:
All donations small and large will be hugely appreciated.
Stay Safe everyone!
