We’re currently carrying out an extensive remediation project on homes in Preston, to help rectify a number of long-standing issues that are a direct result of substandard external wall insulation. We’re working alongside the main contractor, E.ON, and the Building Research Establishment, who are watching and monitoring the entire process using scientific sensors and data logging.
The outcome of the data collected will be used in conjunction with the Bonfield Review, which looks at improving standards of existing frameworks and practices regarding energy efficiency installations and renewable energy measures in properties, and could potentially affect the rest of the UK property industry. We’re working to ensure every house not only meets but exceeds current building design standards, to avoid potential defects and ensure the carbon emissions and reductions in bills for residents goes smoothly.
